Title:

Ferrocarril de Tacubaya narrow gauge line, Mexico City, Mexico

Abstract:

Views show locomotives and cars for the F.C. de Tacubaya line, a miniature, 2-foot gauge railway, that ran entirely through Mexico City (built by Fernando de Teresa in 1896 from a horse-tram line in the Tacubaya district to an amusement park one mile distant). Also depicted are the engine "Susana," (the smallest built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works) and passengers posing with train cars. cf. Best, Gerald M. Mexican Narrow Gauge, p.78.
